Chatham Local Schools Information
Chatham Borough and Chatham Township share a quality school system. In 1986, Chatham Borough and the Township of Chatham held an election in to consider joining the two school districts. This proposal was supported by the voters and since then, the towns have realized the benefit of having a regionalized school district.
The Chatham school district ranks highly and consists of one high school, one middle school, and four elementary schools. Each school is committed to empowering its students with the skills and strengths necessary to be active members in today's world. Chatham also has a prorgram called CHASE (Chatham Association for Support in Education). This is a group of parents and special services members whose focus is to support the special education program.
Chatham High School is in the process of continuing accreditation with Accreditation For Growth (AFG). It's goal is to focus on student performance and to make the high school a better educational institution. With over ten different academic departments and 25 extra-curricular activities, Chatham High School students have many areas for growth from which to choose.
